Like one hell of a tunnel, you've walked and walked, hoping to see lights bursting in the end of the long journey. Sometimes it seems like a never ending darkness. Sometimes you feel like you're about to give up. You can always go back to where you started and nothing will ever change. Or you can walk through the impossible.
Exhaustion, you feel like hope is fading. You just wanna close your eyes and feel nothing. But you keep on going. That's when a dot of light appears. Then you run, run like someone's chasing after you. The hope that were once fading, feels so close you could almost grab it. In a blink of eyes, you're finally out. You begin to the see the world in a different perspective. It's a beautiful world out there. I'm grateful for all the problems I had and solved, because they have made me the way i am today :)

As for your question, I love my job now (as I'm currently a writer for magazine style fashion blogs, I have complete control of my time and I don't get stressed out a lot). On the other hand, I don't see myself doing this for a long time, which is why I am amassing more information on SEO so I can put up my own site (which I did already) and earn passive income from it.
My eyes were opened by the blog http://www.stevepavlina.com. I usually get life tips from this site just because I can totally identify. When i read this article http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2006/05/the-power-of-now/ I was totally inspired to change my life and make it less stressful.
Back then I was working as CSR (night shifts, annoying co-workers) and I hated it. I was away from home and from the people I love and I cried nearly every night. I quit after 4 months. My co-workers told me I was a quitter. But I knew deep in my heart that I'm not because I don't want to spend more time being unhappy. My heart just wasn't in it. And if people tell you that you shouldn't follow your heart, they should read the article of Steve Pavlina, the book The Power of Now and watch videos of Drunvalo.
It's okay to be confused because that's the way for you to come to terms with what you really love and where you should be heading. I'm not saying you should quit right now. When I was still in school, I was powerless. I have to follow my parents and I didn't want to cause trouble. But after graduating, everything just seemed to click in place. I had more freedom to choose what I want to do and decide what would make me happy.
Also, have you tried talking it out with your parents? So sorry for the long comment. But I just feel like I found a comrade in you. :)
